Divorce Mediation in Canberra Same-Week Appointments
Getting divorced? Mediation is a faster, more affordable alternative to court proceedings. Whether you're navigating parenting arrangements, property division, or both, as accredited family mediators we can help separated couples reach fair agreements in a confidential, supportive environment.
Under Australian family law, if you plan to apply to court for parenting orders, in most cases you must first attempt Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) and obtain a Section 60I certificate. We provide this service as well as mediation for property settlement, making the entire separation process more straightforward, affordable and less stressful than court.

What Gets Resolved in Divorce Mediation?
Parenting Arrangements – where do the children spend their time during the year, what happens during the holidays, decision-making and communication arrangements between parents.
Property Settlement – division of assets including the family home, investments, superannuation, loans, debts and personal property.
Section 60I Certificate – issued when required for court applications for parenting orders, confirming you've attempted Family Dispute Resolution.
The Better Alternative to Court
Mediation can resolve disputes in 2 to 4 weeks (instead of 12–18 months). You'll also pay $1,350 to $3,350 in mediation fees compared to $30,000 to $100,000+ in legal costs and court expenses. Most importantly, you control the outcome — not a judge.
The process is private, confidential, child-focused and prioritises maintaining respectful co-parenting relationships. With no waitlist, same-week appointments are available. Book a free discovery discussion now.
