Leadership Coaching Canberra

Leadership and conflict rarely come with a clear roadmap. Managers and leaders are expected to handle performance issues, difficult people, complex conversations and competing priorities — often without much support.

Leadership and conflict coaching gives you a confidential space to think clearly, explore tools to help you understand yourself and others and practice conversations, either in person or online across Australia.

Who is Leadership and Conflict Coaching for?

Leadership and conflict coaching is designed for people who are responsible for others and want to handle conflict, difficult conversations and change with more confidence and impact. Our clients include:

  • New managers stepping into people leadership for the first time.

  • Senior leaders who need a sounding board for complex decisions and relationships.

  • HR and People managers supporting others through conflict, performance issues and change.

  • High‑potential staff preparing for promotion or broader responsibility.

  • Technical experts who now lead teams, projects or stakeholders as part of their role.

What we work on

Each coaching series is tailored, but common themes reflect the real situations you face at work.

  • Conflict coaching for leaders – understanding what is driving a conflict, preparing for difficult conversations and choosing constructive responses (instead of default reactions).

  • Handling challenging personalities, complaints and sensitive issues without avoiding or over‑reacting.

  • Giving clear, specific feedback and having performance conversations that shift behaviour.

  • Leading through uncertainty, restructures and change with steadiness and empathy.

  • Building confidence in your communication and decision‑making, while managing stress and energy so you can show up for your team

Frequently Asked Questions

What is conflict coaching, and how is it different from leadership coaching?

Conflict coaching is one‑to‑one support focused on a specific conflict, helping leaders understand what is happening and choose more effective responses. In this service it is integrated into leadership coaching, so we work on both particular conflict situations and broader leadership habits and skills.

How does the process work, and how many sessions are usually booked?

We start with a short discovery call to clarify goals, current situations and fit. If you proceed, we agree a coaching plan and typically schedule 3–6 employer‑funded, 60‑minute one‑to‑one sessions, usually fortnightly or monthly. Each session focuses on real scenarios (such as preparing for or debriefing difficult conversations) so leaders can apply changes immediately.

What results can our organisation expect from leadership and conflict coaching?

Leaders usually make clearer decisions under pressure and have more effective conversations about performance, behaviour and expectations. Organisations often see fewer matters escalating to HR or formal complaints, and stronger team culture with more trust and accountability.

Is coaching confidential if the organisation is paying?

Yes. Coaching conversations are confidential and specific details are not shared with the organisation without the leader’s consent, except where required by law or policy. We can provide high‑level updates (such as themes and agreed goals) without disclosing what is said in sessions.

How do we get started with leadership and conflict coaching?

Book an initial consultation to outline your leaders’ roles, current challenges and what you would like to change. From there, we confirm suitability and propose a coaching plan that fits your organisational goals, time frame and budget
