You send us your draft through a short online form. Word is best. PDF works, but not photos or scans. We check your plan against the topics a parenting plan needs to cover and send you a written report within two business days.

What it isn't
It isn't legal advice, and we don't tell you what your arrangements should be. Those decisions stay with you. Your review is done by an accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, and where a question needs a lawyer, we'll say so.
Who it's for
Anyone with a draft parenting plan, anywhere in Australia. Often that's one parent checking a draft before sharing it with the other. Sometimes it's both parents checking a plan they've agreed before they sign. It's done entirely online and only one parent needs to ask for the review. If the review shows you're further apart than you thought, mediation can help, and we can talk that through with you.

Can we use a mediator for reviewing a parenting plan?
In a mediation, an accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner helps you both agree on the arrangements and put them in writing. If you've already drafted a plan, our review checks it for gaps before it goes further.
What should a parenting plan include?
More than most people expect. Living arrangements, time with each parent and holidays are just the start. A review shows you what your draft has missed.
Is a parenting plan legally binding?
Not on its own. It's a signed and dated agreement, not a court order. To make it binding, you can ask the court for consent orders, and you'll need a lawyer for that.
How much does it cost to have a mediator check a parenting plan?
It's $300 plus GST, fixed. You get a written report within two business days of payment.
